LOVE STORY #1:
Dated my hubby for only a month. He then asked me
to look at rings I liked. He came to visit, and I showed him a ring at a
jewelry store in the mall. We walked around a bit, went back to look again and
it was gone. We drove to my home, a few hours away, to introduce him to my
family. I took him on a walk that night, it was snowing, no wind, and it was so
peaceful, looked just like a postcard. He wrapped me into a hug, and I could
feel his heart bearing through his shirt and jacket. I thought something was
wrong. He said he felt bad the ring I liked was gone, and asked if I would
still consider marrying him if he gave me one of his rings. I said sure,
thinking he was playing around. Then he pulls out the ring I had admired. I was
stunned, and asked if he was freaking serious. He says I punched him, but I
guess I was so happy I don't even remember it. We didn't kiss because I had a
goal not to kiss anyone until I was married. But I couldn't have given a bigger
hug, and he kissed my forehead.
LOVE STORY #2:
My
husband and I met in high school...and yes we are "high school
sweethearts"! I wouldn't say our first meeting was love at first site,
considering he stole my hamburger off my lunch tray in the cafeteria. We had
mutual friends and so I saw him off and on throughout the year, which I rolled
my eyes at because of all things he stole my hamburger. Summer finally came and
it was fun in the sun with my girlfriends. We always went swimming at the
middle school swimming pool. Well this summer it was under construction so off
to the pool a crossed town. Well as my friends and I went into find our spot
and see if we could find any of our other friends, I spotted him across the
pool. I thought, 'oh great there is that guy who stole my food! Then all of a
sudden, just like in the movies slow motion and everything he got out of the
pool built with muscle and all and there was our love at first site...so almost
32 years later and he doesn't steal my food anymore, we have 5 wonderful
children and 10 1/2 beautiful grandchildren! He told me that he would make me
laugh every day and he does. So that’s "Our Love
Story".......
LOVE STORY #3:
I had decided to go to the CES fireside at BYU by myself. I
knew there would be thousands of people gathering to hear our church leader
speak so I wanted to be able to find a close seat. A cute boy waved me down and
told me he had some room. He was saving seats for some friends on his right but
the seat to his left was open! We instantly struck up a
conversation. "He's so easy to talk to" I thought. After about 20
minutes of conversation, his friends showed up and took their seats. One was
a really cute girl who made it clear that she was interested in him, so I
backed off and quit talking to him. There was no way I would be able to get his
phone number and see him again anyways, especially since he was practically on
a date with another girl! He had other plans though... After the Fireside
ended it was easy for him to lose his friends in the crowd and stick with me.
He asked if he could walk me home! Of course I said yes! I gave him my phone
number and we went out again the following Tuesday. We were engaged three and a
half weeks later and married just over two months after that. We have now been
married over a year and I have never been happier!
So, there are our sweet love stories!! I have to say, it was SO fun hearing these stories!! Thank you to all who participated!
